Faith and Spiritual Formation

Loving God. Loving Others.
Learning with Purpose.

At Grace Montessori Academy, faith is not a subject — it’s the heart of everything we do.

Our guiding principle, inspired by the words of Jesus in Mark 12:29–31, shapes our classrooms, our curriculum, and our community:

“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’
The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
There is no commandment greater than these.”

— Mark 12:30–31

We seek to cultivate a school environment where children not only grow in knowledge, but also in wisdom, compassion, and the joy of knowing God personally.

What We Believe

We are a Christian school guided by a shared foundation of biblical truth. The following beliefs are taught consistently and clearly across all grade levels:

The Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, revealing His character and His plan for humanity through Jesus Christ.

There is one sovereign God, Creator of all things, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ is the living Son of God. He is present in our lives and classrooms, and we look to Him as the model for how we live, love, and learn.

Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ — not earned, but freely given.

Faith enhances learning. True wisdom and knowledge begin with God, and our academic program reflects this Christ-centered worldview.

Biblical truth and values are the foundation for the spiritual, intellectual, and moral development of every student.

Faith in Daily
Life at GMA

Spiritual formation at Grace Montessori is not confined to chapel time or Bible class — it’s gently integrated into the rhythm of each day:

Daily prayer and devotions

Praise and worship

Weekly Bible lessons

Scripture memory

Hands-on Bible materials

Weekly chapel

Biblical conflict resolution

Growing Hearts for God’s Story

Living Out Our Faith

Just as important as what we teach is how we live. At GMA, students are encouraged to:

Love God through worship, prayer, and reflection

Love others through kindness, respect, and service

Grow in grace through accountability, forgiveness, and restoration

Discover their purpose in the greater story of God’s redemptive work

Our prayer is that every student will come to know Christ personally, grow in their relationship with Him, and be equipped to live out their faith with courage and compassion.

Faith Woven Throughout the Curriculum

Our Montessori approach and our Christian worldview are not separate — they are beautifully integrated.

Children are taught to see God’s order and creativity in math, science, and nature.

History and cultural studies are approached through the lens of God’s providence and human purpose.

Literature discussions explore truth, beauty, morality, and redemption.

Students are encouraged to see themselves as image-bearers of God, capable of meaningful work and service.

“We believe that all children can do great things — because they are created by a great God.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Not at all! Everyone is welcome, regardless of religious background. All students are included in chapel and spiritual life activities, but participation is not graded or required for belief. Our goal is to create a respectful, inclusive environment for all.

Faith is woven into every part of the day — through Bible stories, prayer, scripture memory, and the way we treat one another.

We emphasize grace, courtesy, and natural consequences. Children are guided to resolve conflicts peacefully and build empathy and responsibility.

All staff members sign a statement of faith that reflects the school’s core Christian beliefs. This helps ensure consistency in how we model our values and support students in their spiritual and personal growth.
